Ariane's Excellent Christmas!

It's Ariane's Excellent Christmas!

I have made a head piece for Christmas this year and wearing it tonight!
a3 The Christmas tree is finally up and we didn't spend a fortune on gifts this year
I'm very proud - The message is finally getting through
I finished L's,  Mr. D grand daughter beanie for Christmas
Baked succulent desserts for tonight
Raspberry, pineapple upside down cake
Chocolate mint cheesecake
My turkey is thawing nicely thank you very much!
Taking a bath ready to be cooked tomorrow!
I opened my gift
Isn't that easel a beauty?
Gift from Mr. D
We are going out with the familia tonight to our favorite neighborhood restaurant
No cooking, no cleaning!

Here's the menu
Traditional French Canadian Christmas Menu
Homemade pâté, smoked salmon, shrimp mousse, mimosa eggs, celery bits with melted cheese
Beef pâté, marinade,
Turkey, meatball stew, potatoes, salad
Is this enough food for you?

I found the perfect frock for Christmas Eve
Vintage velvet maxi thrifted at Renaissance for $7
It needed a bit of care - It's all perfect now
Have a Merry Christmas Fabulous Ladies!
I will see you soon
Joyeux Noël!

Gorgeous outfit and wonderful headpiece! I haven't seen a pineapple upside down cake since the 1980s - it was my speciality when I was a schoolgirl!
Very impressed with how inexpensive your Xmas day menu is, over here its at least £50.
Have a fantastic day! xxx

Wow, that is some easel! Such a beauty. You know your man loves you when he buys you an easel. O got me one once too.
Your romantic velvet gown is perfect for celebrating Christmas. And I'm with Vix - I was checking out Christmas meals here and they start around $90. Gaa! But your home-baked desserts will put those businesses to shame.
Hugs and happy times to you. Stay warm!

Sounds like a perfect Christmas to me - inexpensive, but still full of good cheer and delicious food! You are looking the part of the gorgeous hostess in your red velvet and headpiece. I applaud your creative talent in your gift to Mr. D's granddaughter and your dinner - well done!
Eat, drink, love, and be Merry!

Ariane! I had a dress just like that when I was in high school! I wore it with white tights! But I didn't have a gorgeous head piece to go with it! As always you inspire. And the little baby beanie...ohhhhh adorable.

PS. Maybe a magic wand could help to let the snow dissappear?!

Oh Ariane! You are so dang fun. That dress, that dress, that dress was something so similar that I owned in my 7th grade (1966) except mine was blue cotton and just at my knee - I'm wearing it in my 7th grade picture. I'll have to post about that some time. lol

Thanks for your visit and comments. You always make me smile, you DO!
