The Travelling Yellow Skirt Went To Cayo Largo

Hi Ladies!
I was the lucky one to get the Travelling Yellow Skirt
This skirt was in Toronto and I took a chance and asked the logistic person in this case
Shelley of Forest City Fashionista if I could get it next since it was so close to Montreal -
It was perfect timing for me
It came with me to Cuba

Cayo Largo Del Sur also known as Cayo Largo
Cayo Largo means largo island
It's a small resort belonging to Cuba in the Caribbean Sea
It's the second biggest Island in Cuba
Nobody lives in the island permanently, locals who work on the island work 20 days straight at the resorts and return home 10 days.

Christopher Columbus is said to have visited the island  on his second expedition in 1494 and Sir Francis Drake may have also stopped on the island - Pirates also likely used the island as a base-

Every day when I walked on the beach Rodolfo, a local, gave me a flower

There are about  2 or 3 all- inclusive resorts on the Island
There used to be more but a couple got destroyed by a hurricane
And in Cuba they take a long time to fix or rebuilt or don't rebuilt at all
We stayed at hotel Playa Blanca- It's our second time
Everything is basic in Cuba - Food and accommodation
They make due with what they have
But the Cubans are very friendly and the service is impeccable

We had a spectacular time
Hopefully we will return next year with the whole family
That should be fun!

The yellow skirt is moving on soon to Tamera Menopause Supermodel!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

I have a lot of catching up to do
I will check your blogs soon!

I will joining Patti and the Ladies at Visible Monday
