December is Pink and Yellow

Hi Ladies!
I am back! It has been a while!
So much happened in the last 2 weeks
But first please check out Vogoff December's issue featuring your favorite bloggers including moi of course !

Check it out it's on Melanie's blog
I was  Miss Muffie Cupcake - Demented Chef Extraordinaire !

It was so much fun to do

Sometimes it just great not to take yourself seriously !

Don't you agree?
These fabulous Ladies contributed to the online magazine

Now my news  -

I lost my job last week and to celebrate i dyed my hair pink!

Would you say it's the right attitude?

I figure i have a little time to myself so lets just have fun for a while!

I might keep the pink to make sure i'm not hired by a bank - Ha! Ha! Ha!

Can't be sad or angry - We have no control over those things

I see it as an opportunity

It was a bit rough i  had a wicked cold, lost my voice and all
The Union and HR told me on Wednesday and i left on Friday
My level of stress went up a bit !
I have to make a decision  as far as the severance package goes- but i have  bit of time to make the decision -
I have been working for this company for 12 years so if choose the severance package i will not be penny less
This week i will cook a storm since i have the time  and so happy cause i love cooking and baking!
I tell you it beats working in front of a PC all day!
I will be making  -
French Canadian Meat Pies or as we call them Tourtières
and Turkey Pies all made from scratch -
I have a few gifts as well to buy
So everybody should be under control for X-Mas

I will be at Patti's Visible Monday and Monday Mingle
I will be back soon
Je vous fais la bise

Oh Ariane! I am so sorry! I lost my job two years ago only instead of doing something intelligent, like dying my hair PINK, which I think is the BEST thing you can do, I just sobbed for days! Take the severence. Enjoy your free time. Maybe take a little trip (that's what I did) and by all means BAKE. You are Miss Cupcake after all. You are so amazing and lovely I just KNOW you'll find something wonderful to do.
MUCH LOVE, Connie*

Loved your VOGOFF feature, your recipe and photos were hilarious.
What a shame about your job but you've got the right attitude and you'll be snapped up by a great employer more suited to your fabulousness real soon.
Yay to pink hair! xxx

Good for you, beautiful lady! It is a very hard thing, but you are keeping a positive attitude while being realistic at the same time. I know exactly what you mean about being happy - who wouldn't appreciate a sudden bonus of free time around the holidays to do all the baking!
I know things are going to work out wonderfully for you, with your amazing attitude and great outlook on life.
Best wishes and happy holidays!

Well, you are taking the news with your usual terrific attitude, and the pink hair is just fabulous! I know things will work out for you, Ariane, and I hope you enjoy your break. Thanks for sharing the gorgeous looks with Visible Monday too!

hello arianne,
although we all wish to have more free time before xmas, it is of course a shock to lose the job. what a week you had!?
even if it is a pc-job (mine too) it feeds us and gives us the possibility to plunder the second hand shops. Your attitude is admirable. when you see it as a chance to start something new, then surely you will find something new and something better soon. to dye your hair, to cook and bake is the best thing to do meanwhile.
i wish you that you can use the free time for yourself and that you can use the severance for a great wish.
i'm so sure that many enterprises are waiting for a wonderful woman like you! must not be a bank ;-)
and by the way, your yellow blue outfit is fantastic.
the vogoff will be my bedside reading tonight.
have a good time my dear!

Your appearance on VOGOFF was truly sensational. So sorry about the job, but dying your hair pink seems to be the perfect response. Even though you stress level was elevated, you are as radiant as always.

Ariane, I know it is a crappy feeling losing a job, but you've handled it with your usual spunk (the hair is perfect), and you are right: an ending means a new, exciting beginning. Glad you can take your time and cook up a storm for the holidays. I am from Ontario, so of course, I am familiar with tourtiere - we sometimes used to have it Christmas Eve, which is the French tradition, n, est-ce pas? xoxo

P.S. VOGOFF was fabulous and so are you in it! xoxo

VOGOFF was wonderful, you were hilarious. I had to come and follow you. Dying your hair pink when you lose a job is the kind of thing I'd do. Although I dyed mine pink and then quit. I love your dress sense and I se you're a hello kitty fan too xx

LOVE Miss Muffie's skirt! Might have to pass on the recipe though, ha!
Sorry about your job, but I admire your positive approach to the event. A bit of extra time over Christmas and New Year will be great.
Let us know what your plans are for the future - if you make any! You may just drift where the wind takes you! xxx

I think this is an opportunity for you, and you'll be ready to embrace the next challenge with all your fabulousness intact.

How pretty is your first outfit! That skirt is just dreamy.

Sorry to hear about the job loss. It happens - but omg pink hair makes any day better! Especially with brilliant blue and neons! I hope you get to enjoy some time off before getting back on the job hunt.

Loved the vogoff and the pink hair is great!!! Hope the job situation works out for the best-- sounds like you have things under control :))

Your hair IS PINK ! WOW... i have to be honest, not everyone can rock it and you certainly do.
I am sorry about your job, but I love the positive attitude - when I was fired 7 years ago from my previous job I was totally disoriented and felt the world had ended for me (how tragic!) but, if it wasn't for them firing me, I would not be where I am right now.
So, YES - 2013 will bring good things your way.

Ah Ariane, I am so sorry! I think it is rotten for companies to let people go right before the holidays, especially when you worked for them for so long. The company I used to work for would routinely do that so they did not have to pay for the holidays.
It is good you have such a great attitude! Pink is powerful and magical and I know it will make you feel much better.
