Some MJ Inspiration

Hi Ladies!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend
Welcome new readers and followers
I got my inspiration this time from Marc Jacobs

I love to go through magazine and pick my favorite look and recreate them with my thrift finds
My version cost not including the Doc Martens of course but lets say it's in investment - I will probably wear them for 10 years !
Here 's the breakdown -
Beret - $6
Sweater - $4
Skirt - $4
Docs  - $20 a year over 10 years
Total cost  -
This week this weekend i hit a few charity shop sales
St-Vincent de Paul had their monthly half price sale
My absolutely top secret church bazaar sale was on this week
Got to see the so charming nuns!
They are so cute the nuns, they greet you with a smile  and they tell you take your time Ladies have a good look around we are certain you will find something for you
My words of wisdom for this post
Do not let anybody tell you what you should be or how you should act
You got this far you must be doing something right!
Be true to yourself
Have yourself a fabulous week Girls!
I will be back soon
Je vous fais la bise

Ariane, This look is amazing! I really can't think of a single thing that I would edit. Even your lip colour is spot on. Much more cool than the magazine photo. Bravo! I like your statement about not letting anybody tell you what you should be or how you should act. I also love the setting. Okay, enough.

Cheers, Sue

You look better than the Marc Jacobs inspiration. On my wish list: some Doc Martens :)

Great words of advice Ariane, I'll think about those this week. I've wasted too much time letting what other people's approval is shape my own ideas and style. But jeez, at 52 what a waste of time! Any time is a waste of time.

I love your skirt and the way you've paired it with your sweater. It's unique and styled in your special way.

That's a splendid interpretation, Ariane!
I can't believe that's how much Docs cost these days. Back in the Eighties they were made in England and cost £30. Hopefully they'll last the 20 years my last pair did. x

Ariane, this is such a marvelous outfit. I love how you have interpreted the Marc Jacobs look using the thrift shop finds and your own style.

You look beautiful and in my opinion your look is way better than the Marc Jacobs looks. The colors in your outfit are stunning.

hello arianne,
it's the copy i like more than the original. the sweater is beautiful and the rest of the dress a perfect remake.
of course your good advice will be followed, mylady!

with envy i regard again how many different occasions and shops you have in your town to buy second hand clothes. we have only a few and the choises seldom change.
have a wonderful week, arianne!

When you said MJ I immediately thought Michael Jackson Ariane, duh, guess I'll never be a fashionista, though maybe we'll see you in white socks and a sparkly glove one day! This outfit is so cute, I really need to start wearing more skirts and dresses. You look very french here I think. xx

I join the chorus - way better than Marc Jacobs! You are not just fashion - you are Style. The jewel tones are awesome. I love your beret and fingerless gloves! (I'm just catching up - slow to the party)

I think if MJ saw this he would be inspired by you! I love it! I'm feeling very chilly and sorry for myself thinking now that I have to wear sweaters and pack the shorts I have no fashion- but you prove me wrong. Here you look gorgeous and stylish as fuck in your textured sweater, full skirt and tights. Lovelyyyy!
