How was your weekend?
This weekend we went to the Gardens of Light at the Chinese Garden at the Botanical Gardens
It was pure magic - It is so unique

Now a few pics of the Gardens of Light at the Chinese Garden
My mother called me from the thrift shop Friday
She asked me - Ariane i found those exquisite Italian leather boots but there have pointy toes- Is this still trendy? I told my mom - Mom do you like them? How do you feel in them?
I said Mom wear what you want to wear - Don't worry about trends, who cares!
If you feel fabulous buy them!
I don't believe in styling rules or what is right or wrong fashion wise
I get lots of look from people - Tell you the truth i like it -
I know i am different
I am happy to say that have the confidence to wear what i choose to wear -
I look at people straight in the eyes and say to myself aren't i Fabulous today!
The grand kids were carving pumpkins today for Halloween !

Pretty outfit! And I love the scarf as necklace. I have got to do that more, because it looks great, and you don't have to fuss with it.
I wore a scarf last week and it just about drove me crazy because I kept having to mess with it. Must let you inspire me to wear them more neatly!!

Love the photos of you in the leaves! You gave your mother very good advice, which we all need to keep in mind when we are shopping or getting dressed in the morning - "do you feel great in it"? If yes, then who cares whether it is "in style" or "out of style" - it's obviously "Your Style"!!

I agree - the trends don't matter. For me the important thing is to have nice objects around I think beautiful. If I think a pair of shoes are beautiful, I will get them, regardless of what's trendy. :)

That first pic of you is like a painting Ariane and I love the Chinese garden, what a beautiful place, I've never seen anywhere quite like that. I love your advice to your mum. It's advice I'm beginning to take after being too mousey and shy for too long. I'm never going to dazzle anyone with my style like you and many other ladies here, but I am starting to be more true to myself and that's what it's all about. xx
