Hi Ladies!
This is the second set of pics I took on Sunday
The blouse i am wearing is my own design
Mr. D purchased this designer blouse for $1 at charity shop
I had it for some time
It went in the give away bag, came back in my closet, went to the give away bag and again in my closet!
I finally kept it and said there is something to do with that designer blouse!
Does it happen to you, not knowing if you keep an item or not?
This is the blouse before the transformation
This blouse was too big, the collar was too large for me, it sunk my head in
I had the part of the collar removed, have the sleeves and front of the blouse cut and kept it long at the back
I have to wear a camisole underneath the blouse, still a bit big, but that is ok, it is wearable now
I can not sew at all, i do buttons, seams, and repair holes, that is it!
But i have a wonderful seamstress!
I have the ideas she has the skills!
I was wearing for this post ....
Blouse- Marie St-Pierre that was modified - Thrifted - $1
Vintage Skirt- Thrifted- La Gaillarde
Belt- Thrifted - Renaissance
Sandals - New- Winners
Jewelery- Thrifted
Hope you enjoyed this post
I will be back soon

WOW! I love that skirt and what a beauitful transformation to that blouse!!! I am impressed :)
Having the ideas is the most important thing,I think....of course it helps if you can follow through yourself, but hey, you've got Izzy to help you there! I love transforming existing not so great garments into something more fabulous!Sometimes I just prefer it to sewing from scratch!
I love the oriental feel of this outfit, that skirt is very Indonesian!
Lovely to see the sunshine there!!

I love it, I'm glad you managed to make it work! Love the colour of the skirt and the matching blue nails too.
Oh non, maintentant j'ai oublie d'ecrire en francias! La prochaine fois!
I love how you have transformed that blouse. You have given me some great ideas for a couple of blouses I have neglected in my closet. I especially like the short in front/long in back idea. And your choice of platforms with that skirt is perfect! Looking good over there in styling Montreal, Ariane!!
I love the shirt, and adore th skirt.
The colours are so brilliant, Ariane.

Great job on the blouse. It will be no surprise to you to know I have all sorts of bits and pieces that I am undecided about - should I keep? Should I sell? Should I gift to someone? Should I remodel? So many decisions!
Love the colours and print on your skirt, and those sandals are tres magnifiques! xxxx
looks amazing! :)
Haha, it happens to me all the time! Certain things are difficult to let go of...
I like that skirt, very bright and sunny!
Very nicely done! You have inspired me to transform some blouses that I do not wear but I need your seamstress! You look fabulous.
I can't sew either, except for minor repairs and buttons, so I always have a little pile of things I've thrifted that I think "if only this was shortened, I could wear it, or, if the sleeves were taken out, etc." I haven't found a good seamstress yet. You did a great job on the blouse, and I love the colours of that skirt!
Love the whole look!! Great work you´ve done with the white shirt!! You´ve given a second chance to it!

MY LITTLE SUEDE SHOES
And I was just wondering if wearing a white shirt would diminish the color of an outfit, there you are proving it doesn't. Love the long print of a skirt and the clean white shirt layered over the spring green tank. Happy spring to you!
Very clever redesign! It's great when you can make an item work for you and leave your special mark on it! :) I also love the skirt- so pretty!
This blouse is so clever. I also love the long skirt. Tres chic. I actually once bought back a dress that I had donated to the Salvation Army. When I saw it on the rack a month after I had given it to them, it just looked like it still belonged in my closet so I bought it again!
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I had cancer. Ugh! And after 2 long exhausting years I am just now starting to get back to life. I love love love your blog. It is so cheerful! BTW, I have a son named IZZY!! Big Hug! Connie
oh what a fabulous skirt darling!
i often change bought items too to give them a new life.. and i love your result;)
kiss,mary
The blouse is so much better with the refashion. I like how it gathers in back.
Skirt is great and goes perfect with simple white blouse :)
The print of your skirt is so charming! And your blouse! You clearly can see the potential in things. Lovely!
Xo,

LOVELOVELOVE!!! You look so sunny and gorgeous, the colors are singing and you're very glamorous, in the perfect way.
Yeah for Izzy's skillz! And yes, I do this--put stuff in the donation pile, dig it out, put it back. I rarely make the alterations I intend to make.
I'm admiring the fabulous skirt.
NIce skirt, i like the colours!
NIce skirt, i like the colours!
The blouse is great, but I'm super impressed with the skirt. It's beautiful! The shoes were just the right thing to wear.
What a fun maxi skirt...looooooove those bright colours!

The blouse is gorgeous now! That skirt is pretty amazing too.
Oh yes, I go back and forth thinking and rethinking if an item has to go.. or not.
I adore the collar on this shirt. If you ever want to get rid of it, keep the collar. You can embellish it a -la Karl Lagerfeld.
