Hi Ladies!
Hope your weekend is enjoyable so far
Nasty grey Saturday here
Ideal day to do everything you hate doing but have to do!
Like cleaning, grocery shopping, cleaning the litter box, the bathroom...
To add a bit of fun between your weekend chores have a peek at Terri's pj party!
These are the last set of pics i took last Sunday
I picked up this maxi skirt some time ago at La Gaillarde
I had it shortened and it needed a bit of tender loving care !
I let my wonderful seamstress take care of it
I let my wonderful seamstress take care of it
The top is from Gerard Darel, it is a french label, very good find for $4
I picked up that piece at the Salvation Army
The watch was purchased at the hospital where i go for physio
Part of the profits goes the Queen Elizabeth hospital's facility improvement funds
Mr. D and I attended this week a charity event in order to raise money for an organization called La Maison du Père
La Maison du Père offers shelter ,meals, care, respect and a friendly ear to homeless men .
In addition, La Maison du Père has a program to help homeless men to get rid of their addiction and lead a normal life.
They also have an residence for older men who can not live on the streets anymore. They are usually very sick but are thankful for the peace of mind, care and respect they get from this organization
These a few pics of the event -

I also went to my favorite church bazaar
This church bazaar was in my neighborhood
Here are some pics taken with my Ipod
Clock wise -Bazaar entrance sign - slippers and other items knitted by the Nuns - A view of the bazaar- The Nuns were cooking! prices of what the offered to eat -
Hot dog - $1
Beans - $2
Vegetables soup -$1
Spaghetti - $2

I found these vintage beauties at the church bazaar - $2

More pics from the bazaar -
Clock wise - Taken with my Ipod- Religious items - The Nuns put children face in the clothes they make or knit - This sweet little Nun gave me a tour of her kitchen- Detail of the cross she wore

I found these 50' purses - The big one was purchased at Les trouvailles de Suzanne on Ontario street, that is not far from my house - the small one was purchased at the church bazaar - $2

Izzy and I are going to a clothes swap tomorrow
I have to bring 3 or 4 pieces of summer clothing that i will be able to exchange for new items -
I think it is a great idea, my first ever swap, have you ever been to a clothes swap?
I hope you enjoyed this post Ladies
I will be back soon
Take care et je vous fait la bise

I love a bazaar like the one you showed! It's so great to dive into the piles and look for treasures. Love your new black purses, and your gorgeous pink maxi skirt.
I've never been to a clothes swap unless you count the impromptu ones with my daughters. Like Patti, I love church bazaars and almost always find the most interesting items for the lowest of prices. Admiring the top you're wearing.
Really fab outfit!
Another gorgeous long skirt...you really know how to style these! Loving the mix of pattern such fun! And the bazaar looks delightful too, wish we had those in Minnesota.

Oh Ariane - I LOVE this outfit so much. I have a very similar maxi in black and white - I love your red one - and with that blouse it is so perfect. I have enjoyed a couple of swaps - I have donated and not found anything suitable for me... but it's still a nice thing in which to participate. Sarah xxx
Perfect outfit, perfect skirt, perfect top! Also, great causes to support! :)
Those shoes you found are just terrific! I'd love to do a clothing swap. I think I might try to arrange one for one of my posts.
I would really wear this, it's perfect!
Well, you know what I'm going to say, Ariane - hurrah, you look wonderful in a maxi! And love the colours on your top.
The church bazaar came up with some goodies, those bags are so beautiful, and I love the flowery shoes too!
Hope the clothes swap is successful. I have hosted a couple, and attended others. I enjoyed them, and happily both gained and gave. It's always more fun with good friends and a drink or two and lots of trying on and modelling! xxxxx
Nothing like wearing brightly coloured clothes to fight the greyness!
The events you attended sound great and the old nun looks like such a sweet old lady :)
For the time being I have to content myself with just donating what I don't wear anymore, which is not bad but not as fun!
LOVE that skirt and blouse combination!
I have fond memories of sales at my grandma's church many years ago. They looked just like your bazaar, tables piled high with fascinating, colorful items of every type.
I saw you and thought, WOW, I love that top, and then I scrolled down and thought, WOW, I love that skirt! The skirt is so marvellously structured that it keeps the A-shape, which is ultra cool. Your blue nails are perfect with this. And those shoes...! Great find. I've never been to a swap but it sounds like fun.
You really are the sweetest thing! Don't you just love clothes with pictures on them? ie. your blouse. Super cool.
your skirt is amazing! :X
