Color and Pattern - What Is In Your Man's Closet -

Hello Ladies -

It is a glorious -1 this morning, for now on, the shoots will be done inside unless it gets a little bit warmer - yes in my dreams, but you never know!
I have a great spot to shoot in the house - the front entrance, it is spacious and full of sunshine and i have written down  my settings which makes it easier to shoot but still, i struggle with the framing and composition which is not easy when shooting alone with a tripod and remote - Let me ask you a couple of questions - How many of you use a tripod and remote? and how many lucky ones have a regular photographer? How many pictures do you take before you say ok this is good?  i take up to 80 pictures sometimes and choose 4 or 5, what about you?

Other subject....what is in your man's closet and what does he think of Vintage or second hand garments?  Mr. D is the typical North American heterosexual wearing mostly jeans, t-shirts, but he wears a lot of  shirts for work- He has a good selection of quality shirts that to my delight  were purchased second hand -It was not always the case,  second hand for him came watching me getting all those  fabulous items in thrift shops, bazaar...ect - Consequently, he gave it a shot and came home several times with fab $1 shirts - I am trying as well to inject a little color in his wardrobe but this is a challenge! but he purchased last year a wonderful second hand orange sweater - this is a start!

Tell me Ladies about your man's closet!

I am wearing -

Blouse thrifted gift from Mr. D
Vintage polyester shorts purchased in NY
Thights - H &M
Vintage Shoes purchased at Renaissance

Smile! Take care of yourself and je vous fais la bise xxxxxx

I don´t use the tripod, my husband does the shooting, while he grumbles: that will do.

Fabulous outfit! I love this so much, esp with the red tights and white shoes. My loving husband is my photographer and he is very patient. He does NOT, however, like to wear any thrifted clothing! Sometimes I do "trick" him into a great shirt from the consignment store and he is none the wiser until much later : >

Thanks for linking up to Visible Monday.

You look beautiful, Ariane. The sunshine makes your skin radiant and that outfit is stunning.
Jon takes my pictures and he loves second-hand shopping as much as I do, if not more. All his clothes apart from his new Clarks' boots are bought at jumbles, car boots and charity shops and he particularly loves 1960s stuff. I'm lucky to have a shopper as a partner! xxxxxxx

I dont have a tripod. My daughter is a good photographer but has no patience with me or we are in a hurry.
I love that blouse. I have been looking for a bow blouse to thrift. Still looking.

My favourite photos are when you smile :)

The outfit looks awesome. I love how brave you are with colours. Those shoes especially are really cute.

My boyfriend wears jeans, a t-shirt and skater shoes every day. He just changes the t-shirt and occasionally the jeans. It makes me sad, but he is who he is!

My man's closet is actually pretty swank...he's a good stylist! He wears some really nice vintage-esque dress pants, jeans with great stitch detailing, and a some military-style cargo pants...usually pairs the bottoms with a cardigan or chunky sweater or a button down over a t-shirt. Looks great every day :)

The only big conversation we've had to have is about pattern/colour mixing--alas. For some reason, he thought that camouflage was like denim and went really well with plaids, stripes, etc...and he thought you always had to wear really sharp contrast--so he'd wear his dark brown pants/gray cords with neon t-shirts or really awful shades of sunny yellow and royal blue, ugh :P

Following you now...and really excited by your FABULOUS style!!!

How fabulousn is that blouse?! Another winning outfit, sweets!
I occasionally use a small gorilla pod and the self timer, and I'm not terribly good at it!My camera is a basic snappy.G mostly takes my pix, though.
And G has a wardrobe to rival mine, with some amazing 60's & 70's shirts/tops/pants,also suits! He has some nice earlier pieces too!But he mostly, like most men, wears jeans and rock T's!

Those patterns are to die for! I don't have a remote or a regular photographer. I have a... reluctant photographer who doesn't actually like to take pictures. Most of my pictures are just tripod+timer.

As for my man's wardrobe... could be much improved. He does the t-shirt and jeans/cargo pants almost all the time. I find it hard to give him suggestions without trying to change him though.

I honestly had no idea English wasn't your first language. I feel like it's so obvious now.. with the name of your blog and all, but I had no clue.

Love the red tights, as you probably know--aren't they fun?
Bummer about taking pics inside but you do have a great spot. I picked a spot in my home--but for now I am still outside. I have always had a tripod--my husband leaves a 4 am. I want no part of that! My husband got best dressed in high school, and as much as he likes clothes, he hates to shop. No thrifting.
Love the b&w with the color photo!

Love this outfit, Ariane, it's check-clash heaven!
Have you coloured your hair again? It looks darker, but it may just be the light. You have fouind a good sunny spot for your pictures.
I take mine with my really crappy camera balanced on the ironing board, using the self-timer - oh so professional, hahaha! No wonder they come out looking so bad!
My Other Half wears secondhand stuff which I buy him in charity shops, but he's not interested in vintage. He's hard to buy for because he is big and tall and things don't fit easily, but that leaves more space in the cupboards for MY stuff! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you so much for your lovely comment on my blog! I really really enjoyed looking through yours, your colours already inspired me!

The chequered combo here is fantastic!

I take my own pictures without a remote - which involves a lot of running back and forth to the camera and a lot of weird pictures! :D Very rarely do I take only 10 pictures and end up using them, as you might imagine! :D

These patterns look great together. Such a bold move.

My husband prefers vintage but has a hard time with fit. He's 6'1 with long arms and a small waist which makes pants and jackets nearly impossible. He does wear a lot of vintage sweaters and thrift store tees. Otherwise he fancies the more outlandish pants H&M has to offer.

i want that blouse, how perfect can a blouse be! love the sheer effect, the gorgeous sleeves and the little bow! perfect with the print of the skirt! i take about 40 pictures, in the beginning i choose like all the good photos, now i just take 4 or 5! because when i go to the blond salad (don't ask i don't like her)! i just keep on scrolling after a few pictures, when you have seen it, you have seen it! so restricting your photos is important to me! that is why i put my details of my outfit in an other post

I love the color and graphic effect of this outfit. Well done.

I must confess I use my cel phone (old Nokia) for pictures.
I take them myself and only have time for about 2 pictures, my only "editing" is cropping.
I adore that short+skirt combination, it's amazing pattern mixing.
